This year's SP2 meeting will be held at NILU on 9th -11th March 2009. The meeting aim is to review the status and discuss the next tasks for WP2.1, 2.2, 2.3 and 2.4, and especially to discuss the main issues in WP2.4.
SP2 also needs to utilize the progress made in the other parts of INTARESE and other INTARESE groups, most notably, partners from WP 3.3, WP3.1, WP1.3, WP1.5 and WP1.2 are invited to attend to exchange information and try to create bridges across SPs/WPs. It will also enable discussions that could help shape further work in WP2.4.

WP2.4 Integrated Monitoring
In Europe and globally, a number of initiatives already exist to link different types of environmental data for different purposes, including efforts of the European Environment Agency (EIONET), of the WMO (IGACO), the OECD (ECOSANTE), UNECE (EMEP), Arctic Council (AMAP), the EU and European Space Agency (GMES), and the EU information system (INSPIRE).
