Issue 1: Intoduction to INTARESE, risk communication and biomonitoring
Welcome to the first edition of the INTARESE TECHNICAL BRIEF, a quarterly newsletter that will provide up-to-date information on the activities of the many European scientists who participate in the INTARESE project.
The first issue contains three articles from different parts of the INTARESE project. Professor David Briggs introduces the INTARESE project and details the progress made so far.
Dr Martin Krayer von Krauss and Mikko Pohjola explain the INTARESE approach to risk communication and how successful integrated risk assessment has to include stakeholders.
Dr Greet Schoeters and Dr. Roel Smolders detail how advances in human biomonitoring are bridging gaps in our knowledge about changes in the environment and the ultimate effects such changes have on human health.
