Methods for Integrated Risk Assessmentii, 28th–30th September 2009, Aarhus, Denmark
Final programme now available

Conference on cocktail effects of chemicals

At the term of five years’ work, this EC-sponsored Integrated Project “NoMiracle” – “Novel Methods for Integrated Risk Assessment of Cumulative Stressors in Europe” - is delivering significant results. Additionally, the EC-sponsored Integrated Project PHIME presents findings on mixed exposurei to metals. Further, the conference includes contributions from leading scientists in the field, who have not been directly involved with the projects. The conference will present new tools for sound assessment of cumulative risks from combined exposures to multiple stressors, including combinations of chemical and biological agents.

Attached you find the final programme. Highlights include:

Monday 28/09 – Combined effects of natural stressors and chemicals, and new concepts and techniques in fate and exposure assessment

Tuesday 29/09 – New trends in assessing mixture effects and risks of chemicals, and in risk concepts and governance.

Wednesday 30/09 - Panel discussion on the difficulties or opportunities in introducing new advanced findings which markedly may improve the current risk assessment procedures and reduce uncertainty in assessments.

Registration for the conference is easily done at: www.kongreskompagniet.dk
