SP7 - Consortium Management
Management of the consortium will be undertaken within SP7. This comprises a single work package, led by the Co-ordinator (IC) and Project Secretariat (ICON). The role of this SP is to provide overall co-ordination and management of all project activities, including:
- strategic planning;
- monitoring of progress of the work;
- quality assurance and control of project deliverables;
- trouble-shooting, problem avoidance and conflict resolution;
- financial and budgetary control;
- liaison with the European Commission;
- reporting.
Management Structure and Systems
The overall coordination and management of the INTARESE project will be carried out by the Project Co-ordinator, Prof. David Briggs (IC), and by the Project Secretariat (ICON).
Management and co-ordination is then undertaken at three key levels:
- at the full project level, by the Project Steering Group (which comprises, the Project Co-ordinator, Project Secretariat and Sub-Project Co-ordinators);
- at the Sub-Project level, by Sub-Project Management Groups, comprising the SP co-ordinator and relevant WP leaders;
- at the Work Package level, via Work Package management teams, comprising WP leader and PIs of all contributing partner.
In addition, a Project Advisory Group, comprising representatives of high-level specialists and users, will provide advice on strategic issues, while technical teams will operate on an ad hoc basis to bring together researchers at the task-level.
