WP6.1 User Consultation
The overall aim of this work package is to ensure that the needs of the eventual target users for the integrated assessment methods and results are fully understood and translated into science target for the project consortium. Key objectives in the first phase of the project are:
- to establish a network of users and
- to undertake an initial review and assessment of user needs, and feed this back into the consortium.
Initial work in this work package will focus on the establishment of a number of critical information networks. User groups, and key contacts, will be identified by recommendation from consortium partners and existing contacts in the EU and its agencies, and snowballing techniques used to extend these to wider groups of users. Linkages will also be established with other EU Integrated Projects who have addressed similar questions to ensure that INTARESE builds on this experience.
Consultations with the agreed targeted users will then be carried out, focusing on their information needs and concerns. This will be achieved by direct consultation between the work package partners and the users.
Results will be consolidated into a set of user perspectives for the first workshop organised jointly with WPs 1.1 and WP5.2 in month 9, and further developed into a 1st pass user analysis, to be delivered in month 18.
Further consultation with users will then proceed through these networks, in preparation for the second project workshop, to be run in month 21.
