The aim of SP5 is to ensure effect scientific co-ordination of the work undertaken in the other work packages. As such, the SP plays a vital, cross-cutting role in establishing common standards and protocols, and integrating results. The SP involves two, related work packages:

• WP5.1 Integration focuses on providing central support to the various work packages, discussing and agreeing common methodologies and protocols, identifying and exploiting opportunities for linkage between the different tasks and tools, comparing and integrating the results from the different work packages, and developing consolidated reports on the results
• WP5.2 Internal training focuses on sharing and exchanging knowledge and expertise, and providing harmonised training for all partners on the methods and assessment procedures.
