The overall aim of this WP is to provide methods for internationally comparable monitoring of environment and health. Key objectives are:

• to identify health data (mortality and morbidity) bases that are routinely available, with high resolution and consistently coded;
• to provide powerful / systematic techniques for data analysis in order to obtain warning of adverse health trends to identify unrecognised risks, or to monitor evolution of health indicators and assess the consequences of policy interventions (or analyze scenarios of pollution reduction and the consequences on health).
