WP1.5 Cross-Cutting Issues

WP1.5 Cross-Cutting Issues will:

  • establish a conceptual framework for use of evidence in decision making in environment and health, including qualitative and quantitative methods;
  • critically review current strategies, methodologies and tools for describing, characterizing, assessing, interpreting and reporting uncertainty of various kinds;
  • develop methods for assessing uncertainty from multiple sources in risk assessment and health impact assessment exercises;
  • identify, characterise, investigate, and assess specific risks of various population subgroups, defined on the basis of susceptibility and vulnerability;
  • review the concepts of the assessment of effects of combined exposures;
  • develop guidance documents to address the above cross-cutting issues in case studies.
