IC Consultants Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Imperial College London, was established in 1990 to provide independent, confidential and authoritative consultancy advice and an analytical/testing service for industry, commerce and government agencies.

IC Consultants Ltd’s independent, confidential services are provided by experts with first-hand industrial experience. Approaching problem solving without preconceptions, we help companies compete through the evaluation and application of new technologies. IC Consultants Ltd works together with research organisations, companies and academia on a range of technology transfer and support projects as part of an ongoing programme to strengthen the research, innovation and technological capabilities of SME's.

IC Consultants Ltd has its own in-house Quality Management System (QMS) developed to meet the requirements of different clients such as UK government departments, European Commission, World Bank and other funding organisations. IC Consultants Ltd’ QMS ensures that all consultancy and project management work is controlled by documented plans, project management methodology, and is carried out by properly trained staff, using suitable equipment and facilities, according to Good Management Practice as prescribed by the Chartered Management Institute.

Compliance with QMS and with Quality Assurance / Quality Control is monitored through a regular audit process by our Project Management Team and Internal Auditors. Where appropriate, external audits are undertaken to assess critical work done by collaborators in consortia projects or by sub-contractors.

IC Consultants Ltd is currently working towards accreditation for the quality management system according to ISO 9001 and ISO 10006.
